Arleta Pech
Artist's Statement/Quote
"I have always been in love with "Chiaroscuro" style paintings with deep darks that have a quiet mystery and lose their edges in the shadows. So my artistic path has come full circle back to oils. It's all about th
A leading painter of florals and the equally demanding delicacy of lace, Arleta Pech captures her favorite subjects with careful blending of high technical skill and a deep aesthetic appreciation for their inherent beauty.
Flowers have been a constant theme in Pech's work for many years because painting florals presents a design challenge. She is also intrigued by the special properties of lace, which makes an appearance in much of her work. The white seen is simply the white of the page. The only thing she paints is the holes!
Before Pech began her fine art watercolor painting career, she was a commercial artist. One of her most noted designs during that period was the Denver Bronco’s team emblem, which was used for eighteen years.
Her book "Painting Fresh Florals in Watercolor" is a top seller and she has produced a series of instructive art videos and presents workshop demonstrations across America.
