Tim Liess
Artist's Statement/Quote
Tim Liess spent every spare moment of his high school years experimenting with oils, and painting landscapes, both wildlife and still life.
After receiving a scholarship to the American Academy of Art in Chicago he spent four years majoring in graphic design and illustrating. At the same time he started exhibiting his paintings at fine art shows. It was in college that Liess discovered a particular interest in water colors. "Watercolors are both unique and challenging due to their unpredictable nature," says the artist.
