Troy Doyle puts far more into his paintings than great composition and outstanding use of color. Look closely and you’ll see certain themes or messages that are unique to each work. Doyle finds that through the conversations shared with good food and drink, he learns from others and applies this learning to his own life – and his work.

Regarding Shared Dreams, Doyle says, “Partaking in wine goes beyond the grape. It is the perfect companion to sharing dreams. Everyone has a dream to share. Mine is about creating happiness, having great friendships, and sharing the finer things in life. Shared Dreams represents my friends, family and my own aspirations. Luckily, one of their dreams for me is to succeed at what makes me happy. Here is a toast to your ‘Chateau Des Reves’ or ‘Chateux of Dreams’. Cheers! To the Good Life and those you choose to share it with.”

Chanceux (French for “lucky”) speaks to the fortuitous moments in life. The phrases, “Lucky Soul” and “One creates one’s own luck” appear subtly on the sides of the corks. Surely few can enjoy a fine glass of wine without appreciating, at least for a moment, how fortunate they are to have the experience.

Even a bottle of scotch can incorporate a larger message. In Golden Elixir, the label reads, “Every Generation has Golden Opportunities,” and the cork lists the progression of how life’s focus changes: from the Battle to achieve and establish one’s place in the world, to the pursuit of Money, leading to the High Life – which includes, of course, a glass of good scotch.

A native of Illinois, Doyle attended the American Academy of Art in Chicago, where he studied both studio and commercial art.

Doyle has spent many years as a freelance artist, designer and Art Director, but his passion has always been painting.
